Solutions

• In my Utopian household, the garabe would have at least enough space for the amount of drivers in your family (4 family members, at least enough space for 4 cars). 
• The floor of the garage would be heated so that in the winter, your cars stay much warmer
• For organization, there would be closets lining the garage walls for storage space.  These closets would be organized by usage (winter tools in one closet, games in another closet, athletic equipment in another) and your garage could have a computer system cataloging everything in the garage and it would also tell you where it's located and how often it's used so that if and when your garage gets too cluttered, you can see what you really don't use and dispose of it.
