I am a huge sports fan.  I am particularly interested in collegiate athletics (football and lacrosse) as well as St. Louis Blues hockey.   Also, my heritage is Irish, Scottish, and German.

My Views of Utopia

I think that Utopia is a romantic ideal that is interesting to address but is very difficult to actually set in motion.  The idea is certainly enticing but, as the word 'Utopia' means, there really is no place in the world that is truly utopian.  Some cultures have undoubtedly adapted certain aspects of utopianism but on the whole it is a very difficult concept.  That said, we can still learn a lot about our own culture by examining Utopian cultures.
